Bristol Student Action for Refugees

Bristol Student Action for RefugeesBristol Student Action for Refugees, part of the STAR National network, campaigns with and for the rights of refugees, raises awareness on refugee issues and supports refugees and asylum seekers of all ages in the local community through volunteering. Our volunteer projects include: # Mentoring refugee secondary school pupils # In-school classroom support and one-to-one reading at a local primary school # Helping out at Bristol Refugee Rights Drop-in Centre # Running anti-stigma workshops in schools as part of Red Cross' Positive Images Project We also meet on a weekly basis to discuss campaigning, participate in workshops with various guests speakers, and watch and discuss films and documentaries on issues relating to refugees.
